Application industries & materials
The Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo is an important piece of equipment in mine and underground engineering construction. With its high – efficiency concrete spraying ability and flexible operation performance, it plays a key role in multiple industries and is suitable for a variety of materials.
I. Application Fields
(I) Metal Mine Mining
In metal mine mining, the Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo is mainly used for roadway support and stope reinforcement. After the excavation of underground roadways, the stability of the surrounding rock is of vital importance. The spraying jumbo can quickly spray concrete onto the roadway walls, forming a solid concrete support layer, effectively controlling the deformation of the surrounding rock, preventing collapse, and ensuring the safety of the ore transportation channels and workers. In stopes under deep mining or complex geological conditions, the jumbo reinforces fragmented or unstable rock masses through precise concrete spraying, creating safe conditions for subsequent ore extraction operations. For example, in copper mines, iron mines, and other mines, when roadways pass through fault fracture zones, the spraying jumbo can promptly apply concrete support, improving the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock and ensuring the smooth progress of mining work.
(II) Non – metal Mine Mining
- Coal Mining
The support and repair of roadways in underground coal mines are inseparable from the Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo. During the tunneling process, the jumbo can carry out primary support for newly excavated roadways, quickly sealing the exposed surrounding rock to prevent weathering and spalling; for roadways affected by mining activities or showing deformation, the jumbo can implement secondary support, enhancing the stability of the roadways and ensuring the smooth flow of coal transportation and ventilation systems. In addition, in the construction of coal mine chambers, connecting roadways, and other projects, the jumbo also plays a role in efficient support, reducing the risk of roadway collapse and ensuring the safe production of coal mines.
- Other Non – metal Mines
For non – metal mines such as limestone mines and gypsum mines, when carrying out roadway excavation and stope operations, the use of Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo for support can effectively address the stability issues of surrounding rock under different geological conditions. In the roadways of limestone mines, the concrete sprayed by the jumbo can reinforce the surrounding rock and prevent roadway deformation caused by ore mining; in the stopes of gypsum mines, by spraying concrete on the roof and sidewalls, the safety of the stope can be improved, reducing the probability of roof fall and rib spalling accidents during ore mining.
(III) Tunnel Engineering
- Railway and Highway Tunnels
In the construction of railway and highway tunnels, the Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo is one of the core equipment for primary support. After tunnel excavation, the jumbo quickly sprays concrete onto the exposed surrounding rock, promptly sealing the rock surface and controlling the relaxation and deformation of the surrounding rock, creating conditions for subsequent secondary lining construction. For adverse geological sections such as weak surrounding rock and fault fracture zones, the jumbo can improve the support strength through multiple layers of concrete spraying, ensuring the safety of tunnel construction. At the same time, in the emergency rescue and disease treatment of tunnels, the spraying jumbo can quickly carry out concrete spraying operations, repair damaged structures, and restore the traffic capacity of the tunnel.
- Water Conservancy and Hydropower Tunnels
In the construction of water diversion tunnels, diversion tunnels, and other projects in water conservancy and hydropower engineering, the Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo is used for surrounding rock support and seepage control. When passing through complex geological areas, the concrete sprayed by the jumbo can reinforce the surrounding rock and prevent groundwater seepage, ensuring the stability of the tunnel structure and the safety of the project. For example, in the pressure water diversion tunnels of hydropower stations, the support layer formed by spraying concrete can not only bear the pressure of the surrounding rock but also play a certain role in seepage prevention, ensuring the long – term stable operation of the tunnel.
(IV) Underground Cavern Projects
In the construction of underground caverns such as underground oil storage, gas storage, and military projects, the Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbo is used for the support and protection of caverns. It enhances the integrity and stability of the surrounding rock of the caverns by spraying concrete, withstanding geological stresses and loads such as explosions and impacts. In the construction of underground oil storage and gas storage caverns, the sprayed concrete can also play a role in fire prevention, explosion prevention, and sealing, ensuring the safety of storage facilities; in the underground caverns of military projects, the concrete support layer sprayed by the jumbo can improve the protection ability of the caverns, resisting external attacks and protecting internal facilities and personnel.
II. Applicable Materials
(I) Ordinary Concrete
Ordinary concrete is the most commonly used material for Mine – used Concrete Spraying Jumbos. It is prepared by mixing cement, sand, stone, water, and admixtures in certain proportions, with the characteristics of low cost, moderate strength, and convenient construction. According to different engineering requirements and geological conditions, the mix proportion of concrete can be adjusted to change its performance such as strength grade and setting time. For example, in general roadway support, ordinary concrete with a lower strength grade can be used for rapid spray support; in key parts of stopes or tunnels with high strength requirements, ordinary concrete with a high strength grade is used to ensure the support effect.
(II) Fiber – reinforced Concrete
Fiber – reinforced concrete is made by adding fiber materials such as steel fibers and synthetic fibers (such as polypropylene fibers) to ordinary concrete. These fibers can effectively improve the toughness and crack resistance of concrete, enhancing its tensile and shear strength. In mine roadways and tunnel projects, when the surrounding rock deforms greatly or is affected by dynamic loads, fiber – reinforced concrete can reduce the cracking and spalling of sprayed concrete, extending the service life of the support structure. For example, in coal mine roadways frequently affected by mining activities, using steel fiber – reinforced concrete for spray support can enhance the impact resistance of the support layer and better adapt to the deformation of the surrounding rock.
(III) Special Concrete
- Waterproof Concrete
In projects where it is necessary to prevent groundwater seepage, such as water conservancy and hydropower tunnels and underground gas storage caverns, waterproof concrete is a commonly used material. It improves the impermeability of concrete by adjusting the mix proportion or adding waterproofing agents and other admixtures, preventing groundwater penetration and ensuring the normal use and structural safety of the project.
- Shotcrete
Shotcrete is added with accelerators, which can quickly set and harden in a short time. In mine and tunnel construction, when it is necessary to quickly seal the rock surface and control the deformation of the surrounding rock, shotcrete can play an important role. For example, in newly excavated roadways or tunnels, using shotcrete for primary spraying can quickly form a support layer, stabilizing the surrounding rock and saving time for subsequent construction.
- Acid – resistant and Alkali – resistant Concrete
In some special mines or underground projects, if the environment is eroded by acidic or alkaline media, acid – resistant and alkali – resistant concrete needs to be used. This type of concrete improves the corrosion resistance of concrete by selecting special cement, aggregates, and admixtures, preventing the concrete structure from being eroded and damaged and extending the service life of the project.
