Intelligent Tunnel Mechanical Equipment
Tunnel mechanical equipment refers to a series of professional machinery used in tunnel construction, maintenance, and other projects, playing an indispensable role in underground space development.
In terms of tunnel excavation, the shield machine is one of the commonly used equipment. It cuts soil by the rotation of the cutter head and advances through the hydraulic system. Meanwhile, it can assemble segments to form the tunnel lining structure during excavation. Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) are also widely used. According to different geological conditions, they are divided into TBMs for hard rock, TBMs for soft rock, etc., which can efficiently break rocks or soil and achieve rapid tunnel excavation.
Support equipment ensures the safety and stability of the tunnel. Anchor drilling rigs are used to drill holes in the tunnel surrounding rock and install bolts, enhancing the stability of the surrounding rock and preventing collapse. Wet shotcrete machines form a support layer on the surface of the surrounding rock by spraying concrete, improving the integrity and bearing capacity of the surrounding rock.
Transport equipment is responsible for transporting the excavated muck out of the tunnel and bringing construction materials into the tunnel. Mine – used Load – Haul – Dump (L.H.D.) machines can flexibly load and transport muck in the tunnel, and dump trucks can transport the muck to the designated waste – disposal site. In addition, concrete mixer trucks transport materials such as concrete to ensure the smooth progress of support and lining construction.
With the development of technology, tunnel mechanical equipment is moving towards intelligence and automation. Some equipment is equipped with advanced sensors and control systems, which can realize functions such as remote monitoring and automatic operation, improving construction efficiency and safety, and reducing labor costs and construction risks.
